"In January 2015, while searching the internet for a used rescue boat, I found KCLM sales. Upon contacting Mike Majewski, regarding a used patrol boat he had listed on his website, I explained my fire departments needs/expectations. He had a lot of options for us. After numerous discussions on the phone and numerous emails regarding the needs of the Fleming #1 Fire Department, Mike suggested we look towards a 25 foot Safe Boat Defender. Mike stated that he could weld two boxes on the roof of the boat, one for back boards, and one for other supplies. Four of our FD personnel flew to Pensacola, Florida and met with Mike. Mike was very helpful in assisting us with several ideas. He suggested installing a dive ladder on the starboard side of the boat, and a pipe for a fire pump on the aft of the boat. Over the next two months, Mike had kept me informed on a daily basis of the progress with installing the boxes on the roof and welding the bracket for the dive ladder. He also had the pipe welded for the fire pump. He took it upon himself to replace all of the non-skid on the boat, without us requesting that the worn ones be replaced. On June 16, 2015, we took delivery of the boat. Mike lake tested the boat with us and, to our surprise, had made a custom cover with our department patch to cover the tow reel. The boat has already been used on several details and worked out better than the skiff boat we had traded in. Mike was very helpful in assisting us with the purchase and numerous requests to help better our water rescue capabilities. I am very pleased to have found Mike.
