Upgrades And Modifications Gallery 2005 25 Safeboat Fleming Fire and Rescue

2005 25 Safe Boat being converted to a Fire Rescue vessel for Fleming Fire Dept. For this build we removed the old Mercury 225 Verados and installed a new pair of Mercury Verado 225XXL's. We removed the bow cover and installed a new cover. We initially removed the interior seating and had both primary seats re-upholstered. While the seats we out of the boat we painted the inside dash panel with a flat textured bed-liner paint. We used the color black for anti-glare. One of the concerns of our customer was storage of the fire equipment and the recovery back boards. To compensate for the lack of space we constructed two water proof 18"x74" long boxes to be mounted to the port and starboard roof area. This allows up to 3 backboards as well as fire axe, couplings, hoses, etc... Our customer also expressed the need for a recovery dive ladder. We built a five rung peg style ladder that can be quickly deployed to the starboard side vessel. The ladder folds and stows in the starboard roof locker. In keeping with the theme of a true fire vessel we coverted the thirty cal. gun mounts to accomadate a Elkhart fire monitor with the capability to quickly mount the monitor fore or aft of the cabin. A three inch induction pipe with trash screen was built and installed centerline to the vessel. With a quick disconnect and connect fitting it allows Fleming Fire to quickly prime and induce water to a portable 3" fire pump located on the back deck of the vessel. Finally the boat received two coats of fresh water multi season anti fouling paint. The vessel is scheduled to be delivered sometime mid-May 2015.
