Description: Metalcraft Marine US Inc., Cape Vincent, N.Y., and Brunswick Commercial and Government Products, Edgewater, Fla., delivered the 35’×11’4″ aluminum USCG Long Range Interceptor II (LRI-II) to the U.S. Coast Guard. Under a master service agreement between the two companies, Metalcraft builds the vessel, Brunswick outfits it and the two share in delivery, training and maintenance.
Designed by Metalcraft, the LRI-II has a 22″ draft and can run at speeds up to 40 mph. It has a range of over 220 nautical miles. The LRI-II is powered by twin Cummins QSB 6.7 diesel engines that produce 480 hp at 3,300 rpm each. The engines connect to UltraJet 305 waterjets through ZF 280 electric-shift marine gears.
The boat features an Ultra Dynamics’ JetMaster Joystick with LivorsiMarine ETS throttle.
There’s tankage for 284 gals. of fuel and a cargo capacity of 150 lbs.
